The Knicks are reportedly interested in acquiring Lakers center JaVale McGee, per Marc Stein.

McGee currently has one-year, $4.2 million left on his contract with the Los Angeles Lakers. Stein is reporting that the Knicks would likely receive another asset in return for taking on McGee’s contract.

McGee averaged 6.6 points and 5.7 rebounds on 63.7% from the field last season for the Lakers.

The Knicks just signed free-agent center Nerlens Noel, so it is unclear how significant of a role Javale McGee would have on the Knicks were he to be acquired.
