Wayne Selden Jr. will join the New York Knicks in training camp to add roster depth after being part of New York’s summer league team.

The New York Knicks have signed Wayne Selden Jr. Now, the terms of the deal have not been disclosed, but there have been reports that Selden’s contract is a non-guaranteed training camp deal.

With the signing of Selden, this means that the Knicks roster contains 20 players. So expect some changes to be made after training camp.

Selden is a 6’ 2” shooting guard who has played three seasons in the NBA. He most recently played in the NBA with the Chicago Bulls in the 2018-19 season. He has also played for the New Orleans Pelicans and the Memphis Grizzlies. He averaged 7.3 points, 1.5 assists, and 2 rebounds during his previous stint in the NBA. 

Knicks fans may recognize him from his time with the Summer League team in Las Vegas this season where he averaged 6.7 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 1.7 assists in 16.4 minutes. He went undrafted in the 2016 NBA Draft after attending the University of Kansas for three years. He made the 2016 All-Big 12 Second team during his Junior year in which he averaged 13.8 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 2.6 assists in 29.9 minutes per game over 38 games.
