The New York Knicks and free agent guard Alec Burks have agreed to a one-year, $6 million dollar deal.
Burks averaged 15.0 ppg, 4.0 apg, 4.0 rpg on 39% 3pt this year for both the Golden State Warriors and Philadelphia 76ers. Burks was drafted in 2011 by the Utah Jazz under Walt Perrin, the Knicks new director of scouting who was a scout for the Jazz at the time. Burks will fit in nicely as a shooter in the rotation and a potential mid season trade piece to net the Knicks additional draft capital.
