The New York Knicks have agreed to a deal in principle to sign Argentine guard Luca Vildoza to a four-year, $13.6 million dollar deal according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

It was reported last week that the Knicks were expected to sign the EuroLeague guard but no deal had been agreed upon until now.

In order to have room on the roster, the Knicks have also converted Jared Harper from a 10-day contract to a 2-way deal per Ian Begley. Harper signed his second 10-day contract of the season last week. This deal will push the Knicks above the minimum salary floor for the season. Vildoza, a highly respected guard in the EuroLeague, is expected to arrive in New York after he clears the immigration process and completes the required physicals and health and safety protocol.

Because of this, we do not have a clear picture of when Vildoza will join the team. Three of the four years are expected to be non-guaranteed giving the Knicks plenty of time to evaluate the Argentine before guaranteeing his contract any further. With the Knicks having secured a spot in the Play-in tournament, Vildoza could give the Knicks more depth for any potential post-season run.
